Synopsis
Sometimes, otherworldly beings reach out to you in strange and mysterious ways. They may have a request for you to fulfill, or maybe they simply take pleasure in terrifying you senseless. It’s even possible that they just want your help in creating something beautiful. If you’re lucky, you might even live to tell the tale… or maybe not.

This book contains six stories that will enthrall you on one page and scare you on the next. The popular story, The Seer of Possibilities, starts this collection off
.

My thoughts
It was so much fun to read this collection of "disturbing" tales! It's not your usual gory horror and that's what I liked most. The stories are spiked with a creepy vibe to it. I actually wished there would be more stories, or that the stories would've been longer!

Pros
  • Creepy: The vibe in all the stories is pretty creepy. You keep wondering where the catch is. You keep wondering when the "disturbing" part is going to appear in these stories. At first they seem pretty normal stories with normal people, but the way these stories evolve into something creepy is fantastic!
  • Not your standard horror: It's not your standard gory, bloody horror. No zombies, vampires or other blood-drawing monsters. It's more the creepy vibe to the stories that make these books horror books. You could even try this book if you're not a horror-fan, because it's not outright scary.
  • Good ending? I love how some of the stories appear to have good endings, but after all they actually don't. It's great having authors come up with something that makes you wonder: "Hmm.. Was this a good ending, or not?!" It especially adds to the creepy vibe in that I was talking about.
  • Needed more: I was so sad when I finished the last story in this book! I really needed more, wanted more. Give me more creeeeepy stories! Always a great pro, when you can't get enough of a book.
Cons
  • No diving in: This is actually a con that counts for all the short stories out there. There's no real diving in for me. I can't bond with the characters or get attached to a story, because it's over before I'm able to... That's what usually makes a short story not my favorite, even if it's real good. I hope I'm making sense over here!
Overall
Not your standard horror stories. Maybe even enjoyable for the people out there who aren't the biggest horror fans. Definitely enjoyable for people who are the biggest horror fans! A great bundle with a creepy and disturbing vibe to it. I love it!

How do you feel about short stories? Are you able to feel involved?!
