My thoughts
Ending a book with a huge sigh, can mean two things; you're glad you've finished it or you just came out of a huge rollercoaster ride. The last option was what's applicable to me. This series was amazing. You know when you watch fireworks and that last bang is the hardest and the most beautiful? That's what Winter is. The first 3 books were great, they were good, but this book was the cherry on the cake I needed. All the characters come together and I loved every bit of it.
Pros
- Length: This book is BIG. It's scary big. I had it on my TBR for maybe 3 months already but I couldn't put myself to picking it up. I decided to go for it in during my vacation. I have to tell you, it's this big because it HAS TO BE this big. It wouldn't be believable if this book was shorter. The girls in this series are up for a big task, so that requires a big book. Every page was adding something to this story.
- Winter: My favorite character in this series. She is broken, damaged and people find her beautiful but weird. I love her so much. She is sensitive and unique and because of the little quirkiness I love her so much. I love how people underestimate her a lot and she is such a big part in this series.
- Adventure: This last book is one big adventure. The first three books build up to this book and I feel like Marissa made all the right choices. She did not choose the easy way to finish this series. This book felt like maybe 3 movies could've been made out of it. There is so much action and a lot going on at the same time.
- Levana: She is my favorite bad-guy of all times. Writers usually write about an evil power, an evil force and when the time comes I sometimes think; "That was it?!". That's SO NOT the case with Levana. She is pure evil, she decides what happens and she is not giving up... Ever. That's also why I'm so curious about Fairest.
- Give me the novellas! This series is over, but it's not over for me! I still have Stars Above and Fairest to read! Can't wait to learn more about Levana and read more from her point of view, the little pieces that I read from her POV had me craving for more. Stars Above contains nine stories that answers even more questions and gives me what I need; MORE! Because I can't say goodbye to Lunar Chronicles. Not yet...

Overall
I loved every bit and piece of this book. I've had some issues with other books in this series, but I've never given them lower than a 4-rating. This series is great and I'm so glad I read them. Marissa Meyer is able to retell a fairytale in a totally different way, but not change the original fairytale. She is surprising me again and again with her books. And the Goodreads scores tell you that I'm not the only one that loved this book. If you haven't read it yet; I highly recommend it!
