My Top 19 Books of 2019

Lists, lists, lists. I just LOVE lists. Who doesn't?! I've been excited to post my Top 19 Books of 2019 since the start of December, when I knew I would post this!

With this final list I hope to recommend some awesome books that you maybe haven't read. Want to know what I loved the book so much? You can click the cover to go to the full review!

I hope you'll find some nice books to read this year. Have fun reading this list and have a great 2020! This is my top 19 of 2019:

#1: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J.K. Rowling. What an outstanding ending to an amazing series. I remember that I didn't want to read this book, because it would end the series. It was worth every page.
#2: Obsidio by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. Another ending to a great series! Both the first and second book were number 2 and 5 last year on my list. This format is so unique and the story is thrilling.
#3: Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas. I'm totally addicted to the TOG series since last year. The books are always high on my lists. Number 4 and 6 were also TOG books last year! The books contain action, romance and all the plot twists you need.

#4: Stars Above by Marissa Meyer. It was so lovely to be back in the Lunar Chronicles universe. This book contains short stories, but it DOES add another layer to all the stories in this series. I loved the "extra" ending this book contains.
#5: The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. This is one of the best dystopian series I've ever read. I remember being totally in love with this trilogy 7 years ago. I re-read the series and I think I liked it even better. Great amount of action, and plot twists.
#6: Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas. Another Sarah J. Maas book. I'm totally addicted by her books, btw. The ACOTAR series was amazing to my opinion, I literally devoured these books. I can't wait for the next installment, and even though this was a sort of in-between book, I still loved it.

#7: Mr. Mercedes by Stephen King. This is, by far, my favorite book by Stephen King. It was exactly what I love about his writing; shocking, thrilling and full of tension. The TV Show is a great one as well! Definitely a must-read for horror/thriller fans.
#8: Nimona by Noelle Stevenson. This book made me fall in love with graphic novels. I used to read them a lot when I was younger, but hadn't touched one in years. This book has the cutest drawings that really fit the story and the humor is GREAT, it made me laugh out loud all the time.
#9: Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. I remember giving this book 4 stars the first time I read it. This time it was a total hit for me. I LOVED the ending. It was bittersweet and the book really felt like a war book. It wasn't some romantic, swoony love story packed in a warzone. It was real WAR and that was what made the ending all the better.

#10: Broken by Karin Slaughter. One of my favorite authors EVER. Her characters are always outstandingly written and her plots are so tight. The stories are always thrilling, shocking and with her short chapters you're just racing through these books.
#11: Love Me Not by M.J. Arlidge. I'm hooked by this series since book 4. That was the first 5-star rating in this series and it's only getting better after that. I love how the main character is not spotless and picture perfect, she's a real human being and that's great. Can't wait for the next book, I've already ordered it!
#12: Legend of the Stone Keepers by J.L. Trepanier. This is the first audiobook that I was able to finish, ever. It's all a big compliment to the author, who was the narrator of this audiobook and was able to give voice to seven main characters. It was so well done. The story was adventurous and I remember being SHOCKED by the ending.

#13: Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. This book had to be on the list, to make it complete! I didn't like it as much as the other two books, but it was still a 5-star book for me. The way the story continues was great and there were a lot of plot twists that had me gasping for air. The ending was great!
#14: Pretty Little Liars by Sara Shepard. I was very curious what I would think about this book, because I had heard people talk about the TV Show and how much they liked it. I liked the way the characters were different from each other and they felt real as well. I remember being shocked by the ending, because I just needed many more answers. I hope to get them soon, because book 2 is to be read next week!
#15: Ollie Oxley and the Ghost: The Search for Lost Gold by Lisa Schmid. I've read so many Children/Middle Grade Books this year, one had to be a hit, and this was the one! The storyline was great and the book was fairly short but didn't feel like that at all. I remember really liking the sarcasm in this book.

#16: The Devil's Apprentice by Kenneth B. Andersen. I remember being so surprised by the setting of this book, and how it was cute, and evil, and good, and thrilling, and shocking. All at the same time! I can't wait to devour this series.
#17: Star Child: Awakening by Petra Landon. If any author deserves all the attention, reads, stars, good reviews it's this woman! She is so humble, sweet and a GREAT author. If you want a good sci-fi/fantasy book with plot twists and a great dose of action AND romance, you should read any of her books!
#18: House of Lords by Philip Rosenberg. This book was fast paced and the twists and turns were unexpected. I remember feeling like the book was so believable, it could easily happen to a person. What I also liked were the unlikable characters, I just needed someone to die in this book, so I was fine with anyone, lol.
#19: Hide and Seek by M.J. Arlidge. Another book from this series! I liked this book so much because the setting was different from all the other books. What was also great in this thrilling book is that you think you know it all the time, but you know nothing... (Jon Snow).

Thank you for reading!
Did you read one of the books above?
Did you find something to your liking and added it to your TBR?
