Two Short Stories #7

Today I will be highlighting two short stories.
Both of them are short stories.

Let's dive in!

Title: Follow Your Nightmares
Author: Joel Sanchez
Pages: 46

In this book a new day always starts the same way, and I think that was very cleverly done. It portrays the daily grind in the main character's life.

Even though I found good things in this book, there were also some cons that I couldn't get over. One of them is that I feel that this book should be read by an editor (again). I don't know if it was already edited, but I could find multiple errors that can easily be fixed. I also felt that the book started out pretty clear and while reading it kinda lost me. Things that happened were sometimes hard to understand and didn't always make sense.

Another thing I liked about this book is the deeper layer that I found. It showed me that certain setbacks in your life can become very toxic if you don't get over it. It shows you how you can lose the good in your life.

Title: A Rainforest Adventure (Jasper - Amazon Parrot Book 1)
Author: Sharon C. Williams
Pages: 64

This book is a cute story with parrots as the main characters. It's unique to me because I've never read anything like that!

While I was enjoying the story I found some little things that bothered me a bit. The jealousy at the beginning of the book was something that I felt wasn't necessary to the story. Also in the middle part some things were a tad over the top. Like writing "Ahh" with 31 H's (I counted them), "Whee" with 28 E's and writing the word So as Soooooooooooooooooo. The book didn't need that.

While coming along with Jasper on his adventures I loved how the scenery was portrayed. I love the amazon, I love watching documentaries about nature, so the way the amazon was portrayed really made me happy. The colours were described as very vibrant and all the plants and wildlife were there. That's what I liked the most.

Both these books were worth my time.
Did you read any good short stories lately?
