Synopsis
Kevin J. Kennedy has brought the horror world three bestselling Christmas horror anthologies. Now, for the first time ever he collects his own tales of Christmas madness between these pages. You will find a mix of extreme, comedy, gross and bizarro Christmas horror, and there is even a few drabbles thrown in.

WARNING: This book isn't for everyone. If you are easily offended, it's not going to be for you.

I'm always excited when I see a book by Kevin J. Kennedy on my list. I just know I'll be in for some great horror stories stories. This book had some of the stories that were in Kennedy's earlier Christmas Horror Short Story books. So I was revisiting some of my favorites! At least two of the stories were ones that I remembered I read before. Maybe there are more, but I've read so many stories and short stories over the year, that I'm surprised I recognized two!

I had a blast reading this book. Everybody: Merry Christmas!

Christmas in Hell (re-read)
Rating: 4
It's always fun to see how authors interpret a day or a life in Hell. I've seen so many variations and I'm always curious how it will turn out. I loved the twist at the end of the story. This is actually a sort of Krampus biography; that's what comes to mind. I'm still curious how Christmas is actually celebrated in Hell, that's the part I missed.

Sisterly Love
Rating: 2
When a story is SO short it has to be a right hit or miss. I read it multiple times and it wasn't scary or horror-y enough for me.

Merry Fuckin' Christmas (re-read)
Rating: 5
I love how this story starts of so positive with all the lovely and warm Christmas vibes. All of a sudden the story flips, and that was brilliantly done. You get little pieces of information throughout the story, which is nicely done and very smart. I love a gory revenge story. This story gave me everything I needed.

Christmas on the Streets
Rating: 3
I liked the twist in this story. It just wasn't scary or horror-y enough for me. This was a great set up for a story and I'd love for it to continue. Right now it was just a tad too short for me.

One Shift Too Many
Rating: 4
This was a lovely short gory story. I wanted to follow the crazy Santa in this book longer than just one page!

The Christmas Surprise
Rating: 4
This book had an erotic vibe that just felt a bit weird to me, but I was so curious  where this story would go. There was something with a third button and just... OUCH! Wouldn't use that third button now I know. The ending was cruel and bloody and I loved it.

Down the Bizarro Watering Hole
Rating: 4
It was fun going through several visions with the main character. I liked the scary part as well as the loving parts in this story. The main character had so much love for her parents, it really fit the Christmas vibe. I really wanted to know more when the book ended. Like; What would she find when this main character arrived at her destination? The feeling of not know was nice as well, though. I'm a bit torn about the ending, as you can see! And I think... Maybe... This was a re-read as well?

So here ya go, another collection of awesome horror stories with a Christmas vibe by Kevin J. Kennedy. I already have a review planned for one of his other books as well, but that's probably something for the next year!

Thanks for reading!
I'd love to talk books; please let me know what you think about this book review.
