Today I will be highlighting two short stories.
One of them is a short story about someone that is experiencing the afterlife, the other story is about a woman who is learning new things about herself.
Let's dive right in.

This story was hard for me to read, because it was confronting for me. It was about death and I lost my grandmother this year and my father 2 years ago, so this came very close for me. I didn't feel the joy that one should feel while reading a book.
I did see good scores on Goodreads, so maybe I'm the one and only to have problems with the topic of the story.
What I did like was the way it was all described so peaceful. I really hope, that if I die one day, it feels as peaceful as this story did. That was the little point of light for me in this very short story.

This story was so inspiring. From the writing style to the message it holds; Definitely worth the 20 minutes that this takes to read.
The writing style felt poetic to me. I felt like I could DRINK this story and I wanted a longer story, a bigger book!
The story is about Alex, and were on this journey of her coming-out with her. Sometimes you hear stories that coming-outs were hard for people, but for me that is hard to relate to, and it's hard to know what that person felt. Some of my friends are in the LGBTQ+ community and I feel like I could better understand them if they had a hard coming out by reading this book. This story really helped me understand and be in that persons shoes and I felt like I was educated by this story.
I think, that next to delivering a strong message, this story also was just lovely in some parts and really cute and sweet. It really made an impact on me and I loved the balance between the heavy parts and the lightness.
Both books were very different and were about life, love and death.
Did you read any good short stories lately?
